Aquaculture without frontiers is now in its fourth year of operation since its re-establishment as a charities commission registered organisation in the uk. in its first year the awf uk charity obtained a pledge of support for a vietnamese feed nutritionist to travel to thailand to attend an aqua feed training course kindly sponsored by progressus agrischools.. This website is the home of the uk based aquaculture without frontiers (awf). there are a number of awf’s in existence and each organisation is independent but operating under the common banner and aims of the charities original founder and our uk charity’s patron, mr. michael new o.b.e.. Several appointments have been confirmed by the board of aquaculture without frontiers (us) which highlight that the organisation is moving in the right direction. on the board the new appointment is mike (michael) deal who up until recently was president and ceo at volunteers for economic growth alliance (vega).. In fact, he found that voluntary service in aquaculture appealed to a wide spectrum of individuals, from students to retirees. encouraged by this response, he asked some of his friends and colleagues to help him establish a mission statement and an initial strategy for his group, for which he had proposed the name aquaculture without frontiers.
